Melting Chocolate

by Leave a Comment

Melting Chocolate

I have found the microwave to be the best way to melt chocolate.  Place chopped chocolate in a pyrex measuring cup or small glass bowl and heat for 2 minutes at 50% power.  Remove and stir to mix which helps distribute the heat.  If not smooth return to microwave for 30 more seconds at 50% power.  Continue to do this until completely smooth.  This should not take more than 3 minutes total.
