I have had a passion for cooking since I was a child. At the age of twelve I was cooking meals for a family of six. In 1975 I moved to Los Angeles to attend college and earned a BS in business. My desire to cook never waned and soon I started taking cooking classes whenever I could. I was taking classes from then unknown chefs like:
- Jacques Pépin
- Martha Stewart
- Marcella Hazan
- Julie Sahni
- Joachim Splichal
- Anne Willan
- Rick Bayless
- Sherry Yard
- André Soltner
- Biba Caggiano
- Lorenza de’ Medici
- Nancy Silverton
- Hans Rockenwagner
- Viana La Place
- Deborah Madison
- Emeril Lagasse
I have studied at the CIA in Hudson, N. Y., Tante Marie’s Cooking School and Jack Lirio Cooking School in San Francisco, Erna’s Elderberry House in Oakhurst, CA, Le Cordon Bleu and Il Rotolone in Umbria, Italy.
In the late 90’s I started teaching classes out of my home. I also started donating gourmet dinners for eight to various charities the last of which was sold for $6500. In 2000 I went back to school to earn a masters degree in nutrition. I want to share with you the hundreds of recipes I have picked up over the years as well as the many tips I have learned. I hope you enjoy this website and I look forward to hearing from you.
Happy cooking!
