Bread For All Seasons by Beth Hensperger (1995)

Bread For All Seasons by Beth Hensperger

At last count I have eight of Beth Hensperger’s bread books.  Her recipes work well and I’ve made some of my favorite breads from them.  Bread For All Seasons is one such book.  I was actually a recipe tester for this book before it was published.

The Potato Cinnamon Rolls with Irish Cream Glaze are one of the many breads I make that contain potatoes.  Potatoes make the texture light and fluffy and give the rolls an enticing flavor.  If you don’t want the alcohol you can always make a plain sugar glaze.  If you like cinnamon rolls you must try these and they also freeze well.

The Italian Amaretto Sweet Bread will definitely impress your family and guests. It is light and airy and very attractive especially if you use charlotte molds.  It would make a great addition to Easter brunch.

The Sweet Vanilla Challah is a simple basic bread but tastes anything but simple.  Beth suggests serving this on Sabbath.  It is rich with eggs, sugar, and oil but not too sweet.
